Purposefully grabbing someone’s attention is harder than it seems sometimes. One thing is for sure: you can’t overthink it.
At the recent ADA meeting in New Orleans, I came across an unexpected exhibit design that, sure enough, pulled people in from down the aisle.
A compliance consulting group was inspired by the beloved cartoon Peanuts. The resulting exhibit structure, although simple, made their paperwork-heavy service approachable and fun by instilling a sense of nostalgia and humor in the attendees.
It’s a style I would like to see more of—simple ideas that translate easily between visitors’ emotions and branding. Keep in mind that “simple” does not mean you can’t go big, you just have to play it smart.
